It certainly has been a while, and so much has changed and yet so much remains the same. I am still working at the hotel, and feel like I am doing a really good job. My boss is always telling me that I'm doing great, and has even given me time off for good behavior in the form of a three day weekend. So much time to do so many things, including update this blog!
Joe and I have moved into a house, and are enjoying the process of decorating and making it our own. We have been in the house for a little over a month, but we are taking our time finding the perfect furniture pieces and decorations. It is really starting to come together and we have absolutely fallen in love with it. I will put together a post with pictures here pretty soon. Another reason that it is slow to come together is because so much of it requires a lot of work on my part. I am sewing curtains, refinishing wood furniture, reupholstering chairs, and possibly painting some new artwork. Lots to do, but my creative juices are flowing, and I am looking forward to every detail.
Now that we have more space, I am hoping to get Sew Nerdy up and running again. I have an amazing space to do all of my sewing and art projects, and then the garage for me to do all of the reupholstering. It is all very exciting, and I hope to be able to grow the business to the point that I can do it full time. A girl can dream, right?
